The Soul of a Classic: Photographing the 250 GT

The car arrived before dawn. It sat in the garage like a held breath, its curves catching the first tentative light from the high windows.

I never rush a session like this. The first hour is spent walking around the car, not shooting, just learning which surfaces hold the light and which throw it away. The 250 GT rewards patience. Its lines are not loud. They reveal themselves slowly, in the way a shoulder curve meets the rear arch, in the detail of a hand-formed panel.

By the time the sun had moved fully across the skylights, I knew which three angles would carry the series. Everything else was discarded. What remains is a study of restraint: the car, the light, and nothing else.
